Duuuvaaal vs. Duvel. Intuition Ale Works gets a cease and desist order

Jacksonville’s own Intuition Ale Works has run into a bit of international trouble. The brewery has been planning to can one of its Belgian-style beers, called Duuuvaal, named after the chant celebrating the county of the beer’s birth.

But the name is also similar to Duvel, one of the best-known beers that comes out of Belgium. Intuition owner Ben Davis admitted the similarity is not a complete coincidence. Both are similar styles â€" Belgian strong golden ales.

It probably doesn't help that the font they use is similar and they clearly aped the style - I would suppose in homage to Duvel. I really like the logo actually - and I don't even like the damn Jaguars 

I'd think it would take an idiot not to know the difference, but I'm no expert on IP or copyright or whatever kind of law this is.

I expect this wouldn't hold up, but it may not be worth Intuition's money to challenge it.
