Moxie Restaurant is planning to open their first Jacksonville location at the St. Johns Town Center.  The 7,066 square foot restaurant, estimated at $800,000, will be constructed on Big Island Drive overlooking a retention pond adjacent to Bulter Boulevard.

Anyone been to one before? Details?

No, Ben, on one's been yet...  We're all waiting on you to go first.   ;D

I think, if I am looking at their info correctly, they are only in California before here.

And a chain to boot. Thrilling.

Took five posts. How many more posts until someone whines about the SJTC whining?

It don't matter if it's a chain restaurant or not, hell it can be a five star restaurant, and the ever vigilant consistent knit-picky SJTC haters will continue to shun it no matter what. There would be no complaining or whining if Moxie (chain restaurant) was downtown. I know, I need to open my eyes because I never been anywhere outside of Jax, and I'm a homer....

I suppose that you could start here & rifle though any of the threads speaking to new development(s) @ SJTC:

I'm indifferent as to where the chains set up shop, but SJTC has become an obvious portal into Jacksonville over the last few years & that's just fine, really.  It has; however, become predictable - almost obligitory to divert immediately to the negatives associated with SJTC -  have you really not noticed?  Seriously?  C'mon man.....

Is this a large chain?  The only significant Moxie's chain I've come across is Moxie's Grill & Bar in Canada.

I can't imagine that a Canadian chain would select Jacksonville as their first US restaurant.

Good question. I've been scouring all over the web trying to find info on this restaurant. I'll be shocked if it's a large chain. Large chain restaurants are known for their synonymous easy to access websites. Hey Lake, where did you get the Moxie info from?

This Moxie in Cleveland sounds like a restaurant that would fit in with the other restaurant types in the Town Center.  Perhaps the owners are trying to expand the concept outside of Cleveland.
