Hello MetJax do you consider major cities in Florida of being "Hip & Cool?"

I recently spoke with several classmates at the UNF library and they all either plan on moving to "greener pastures" either in California, NYC, Atlanta, or Texas. With our culture how can we appeal to being cool everyone seems to pay attention to the fashion houses in SoCal and NYC but it seems Florida is lost & forgotten. Will Gen-Y change the perception of Florida of being hip & cool? Besides urbanization & mass transit, what can we do to retain cool, creative types?
