For anyone following the FSCJ scandal -- the very most recent one about Celine McArthur's letter, I know there are several to keep track of at any given time -- Celine has a blog:

I hadn't seen this in the media coverage so I thought I'd share.

Thanks for posting, I hadn't seen this. I don't have all the details (the letter itself is a very long read) wouldn't she be better going quietly and getting another job rather than trying to go out w/such a bang?

Burning bridges is never a good idea.

Having worked with Christine Arab, I found her to be nothing but professional. I've never been a fan of the President of FSCJ, he always seemed aloof, but with great people surrounding him.

Based on what McArthur said in her letter, she went around the chain of command and this should be a lesson on ethics taught in the college of what not to do. If she had that much of an issue with the administration, she should have resigned and moved on somewhere else.

If the college wants some examples of lessons on ethics, I think it would be better served to look at the content of the letter, not the sender.

Just getting caught up in this whole debacle. Before I get too deep, I see your reference to Christine Arab. How is she involved? Known her for 20+ years.

That is for the state board of governors, not for an employee to decide. There is a chain of command to work with in any bureaucracy, she chose to try and work around the chain. Right or wrong, she chose this path, and these are the consequences.

Read the letter, she has references in her letter about Ms. Arab and the HR department.

QuoteI'm the CEO of Storytelling.

From Celine McArthur's LinkedIn profile, I kid you not.....

Be careful when you say that.  While I do not know the details of this FSCJ VP (her actions could be justified or not), a person in a public role has two bosses - their immediate one and the citizens they work for.  They have a duel role they must fulfill.

It's like if Ocklawaha (sorry Ock but you make a pretty good example) joined JTA as a VP of Mass Transit.  If JTA was like FSCJ, it would mean Ock would never be allowed to talk to the Mayor unless the CEO allows it.  He should only follow the chain-of-command to do what the CEO and the board wants JTA to do.  The best person for JTA's Mass Transit - wasting his time sitting around with no power.  What should he do?

Are you saying he should leave JTA and move on to let's say, Charlotte, and work there?

Let's see how  this is played out.

EWC has faced issues, the media and community wanted to
rake them over the coals. Calling them to close...

Let's see how FSCJ is treated, there are problems all over in
higher education. People should not throw stones and
innuendos at others because it will come back to haunt and
taunt you.

Get your act together FSCJ there are too many young lives
depending on your success to educate them.

If her job duties included sending correspondence about FSCJ activities to the Governor, you have a point. The article in the Sunday TU pointed that Wallace has no recommended her termination, so she made some enemies along the way here and there are a number of good people in FSCJ who do not buck the system, to me this seems like she was not the right fit there at that position. Someone tried to make a square peg fit in a round hole, and it did not work.
