A person I know in the event department for Everbank Stadium said they are preparing for 40K with last minute sales and walk ups.

I hope the weather holds up though. I am planning on biking up there Saturday afternoon and buying tickets at walk up.

$40k sounds right with the pace of sales.  I'm with you on the weather, let's hope it holds off til Sunday!

^ actually I'm hoping it hold off late Sunday....so Jazz Fest is a complete success!

Most of The Tartan Army have arrived as of today. If you want to meet and talk with them just walk up and introduce yourself. They are a very friendly group.

For those that don't much venture outside of Riverside/Avondale I would suggest you try a visit Downtown tonight, tomorrow and Sunday. Between the soccer match and Jazz Fest there is a lot of activity (for a change) Downtown.
Soak it in, enjoy.

I raise a glass to the Tartan Army!  ;D

I'll be getting a picture with the tartan army if I can.  Anyone know if there is any place nearby where I can park and avoid the $20 fee?  Looks like one might be able to park on Marsh for free if there are spaces.

you can park on any street in the downtown area....try parking near Liberty and walk to the stadium

I thought they disallowed some street parking when there are events at the stadium.  Hence why I was asking.  Thanks!

cline

I believe they do cover some meters during events and do not allow parking but I think there are plenty of on-street spots where you are able to.

Looks like if you park between Bay and the River on Liberty it is an easy 2 mile walk to the stadium.  Can't wait.  Looking at the expected lineup for Scottland, we should get 2-3 goals past them.

Just got back from Everbank Field (holy Watchtower there's a bunch of Jehovah's Witnesses' there).  All the meters behind Maxwell House and all near the stadium have been bagged.
If you're going for the thing at 5 pm, it didnt appear that they will be charging for parking, half the stadium lot and all the lots next to Met Park are all full of people at the convention at the Arena.
