Their starting LT retires.

This doesn't bother me at all.

You want the Pollyanna take?  How many times have we given these vets tons of cash upfront to come play only to watch them relax and cash a check?  This time, we held firm, he didn't think the year was worth $8.5M so he walked.  We haven't paid a dime for this guy and now we're not on the hook for any of it AND we got out from under the JT money.
I assume we still lose a 7th round pick to Miami though.

Painless

Edit:  And the next flurry of tweets is saying we don't even lose that because he retired.  No report, no deal?  IDK.

Nice.

And hey, some 7th rounders have turned out to be great players.

So have some UDFAs.

It appears that Albert had to play in 3 games for the draft pick to come into play.

INJURY WATCH

Defensive end Calais Campbell missed practice. Marrone said later it was an off day for the 10-year veteran.

The chicken little's are out in full effect with the bitch and moan, blah blah blah.

Ohhhhhh Rob, Blake threw five interceptions in . . . practice. Kudos to the defense, perhaps?

Maybe, just maybe?

But, no! No, no, no !!! Chicken Little's of the fanbase unite!

And by this point if you don't understand the supremely good reasons Kaepernick isn't on a team you're stupid. Supremely stupid. It's truly amazing how much time is being wasted with people demanding teams give this fool a job. If the bitch gets a job, he gets a job. If he doesn't, he doesn't. Fuck him.

I think the more people bump their gums about this guy with the tone their using, the more likely it becomes he will not get a damn job. So you might want to STFU if you want to see Kap in the League. And if that dumb ass owner in Baltimore takes him, God have mercy on his behind.

Damn you're fired up for a pre-7am post.  Hair of the dog?

Doesn't mean I don't agree with you on this one, though.  And the last 2 practices he's had closer to 90% completion rate, but ESPN is still showing the 5 INT replays...  I don't care if he throws 5 INTs or a TD on every pass.  Either way, someone on one side of the ball is fucking up and that's not good for the TEAM.  Who really cares, though?

You know me by now. I'm gonna talk some yang, man.

I'm excited about this team, because I'm excited every damn preseason. But . . . this year does feel different. The high expectations of last year (especially for Blake) not being attained allowed us to get Leonard Fournette. And he could be the single biggest difference maker Blake desperately needed. The threat of Fournette doesn't even have to be realized on a regular basis. The threat, alone, makes other things possible.

Sunshine pumper that I am, I'm still desperate to watch some truly meaningful home football games in December. So, my fingers are crossed. Fournette looks the part, he sounds for real, and he's made a good local impression with his gesture towards Raines High School. Whenever I think about the Jags these days I just keep mumbling to myself . . . the pieces are in place, the pieces are in place, the pieces are . . . .

And don't get me started on my Gators. McElwain is killing it in recruiting. Championships soon come. Things are looking up for the kid, man, things are looking up! Hell, the Rattlers might even finally dig out of their long hole and remember how to beat Cookman once again.

RattlerGator

Of course not (but in the bigger picture, who the hell is Cameron Jordan? To hell with him.). However, that's the conventional wisdom on Blake and the one thing everyone knows how to do today is be a member of the herd and attack an appropriately attackable player.

So be it. Blake will have his chance to prove them wrong and I like our odds.

As for the QB people keep demanding be given a job . . . .

Check out the tweet by Nessa (his girlfriend???) and the first comment from Damien Woody of ESPN:

Ummmmmmmm . . . *if* she is his girlfriend, y'all know she is the primary problem -- right? His dumb ass wasn't spouting this stupidity until she (or some chick like her) entered the scene.

And Damien Woody? Another classic example of the herd mentality. One must virtue-signal, dontchaknow? You can't betray the race; gotta close ranks and support this fool come hell or high water.

Keep Kap and his dumb ass chick out of the League; that's the smart play. As for publicly calling Ray Lewis an Uncle Tom? Definitely not smart.

Hm, maybe if Kaepernick had beaten or sexually assaulted a woman—oh, excuse me, I mean chick—instead of hurting cops' feelings, he'd have a job. I mean, the NFL still employs plenty of people like that, right?

Or maybe if he had a woman—oh, there I go again, a chick—who knew her place!

Or maybe, just maybe, if Kaepernick pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice in order to avoid a murder charge, people would consider him worthy of respect like Ray Lewis.

RattlerGator

I always love this deep desire of people to tell folks how to talk or write. Chick bothers you, huh? Duly noted in a I don't give a fuck kind of way.

I also love this comparison game where people take note of athletic individuals who have stubbed their toe, and have some demonstrable talent a team needs, and thus are given multiple chances to play in the NFL. Which is nothing different than the workforce in general. People who have been convicted of crimes have a right to thereafter seek employment, right? You have a problem with that? Of course you don't. You just want to virtue-signal on this issue. So it pays for you to do the if this, then that game.

Au contraire! Kaps problem isn't the commission of a crime; it is that he has spit in the face of the nation [problem number one], told a damn lie about a "problem" that doesn't actually exist [problem number two], and in doing so placed himself in a supremacist position in comparison to the majority of the country [problem number three]. So, a very sizable portion of the ticket-buying public doesn't want to see him in the League and unsurprisingly told him to go to hell. Now if you don't get that, duly noted in a I don't give a fuck kind of way..

Clear enough? If he gets a job, okay. But I damn sure won't like it.

Yesterday, the courageous folks at ESPN on the show Pardon the Interruption (Pablo Torre and Bomani Jones yesterday) completely ignored the dumb ass tweet from the chick. It completely blows up their desperate narrative . . . and they probably have an issue with the word chick, too. Of which, by now you certainly know, is duly noted in a I don't give a fuck kind of way..

Let's talk about something important.

Tinker is out for the year.

I would say that officially ends any hope the Jags had this year.

I heard he airmailed a snap or two at the first padded practice, so we were gonna be toast anyhow.

Hopefully my fish will seriously consider Kaep. Can't go into the season with Matt Moore as our starting QB!
