In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Rex Ryan fired by the Bills today along with his twin brother.

I dont think he is Jags material. Bills still feel burned by Marrone, so no issues there.

Mercifully the season ends... :-\

Gary Kubiak said he was retiring from coaching permanently today. More competition for the Jags in the coach recruiting corp.

There is a rumor that a big trade is in the works with the Rams, to trade for coach Sean Payton, if this happens then the Saints will go for Doug Marrone.

The clock is ticking on the Jags.

Mike McCoy from the Chargers now available.

Chip Kelly from the 49'ers is now available.

Neither seem to be Jags material.

The only bright side to U-verse dropping CBS this morning was that I made so I couldn't watch the Jags debacle in Indy. Thanks U-verse.

Prediction: Josh McDaniel (New England Patriots offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach) or Harold Goodwin (Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator, former offensive line coach) -- one of the two is on the way to Jacksonville. Either would be a very good move forward to me.

I would be good with Kyle Shanahan. Hard to ignore how good the Falcons offense has been this year. And he was able to get career years out of RGIII and Matt Schaub in his previous stops. If he can bring a strong DC, it would be a good hire.

Tony Boselli just got named a finalist for the pro football hall of fame for the 2017 class. Here's to hoping he gets in, the Jags need some representation in Canton!

Here is a link to a list of all the finalists:

I am so glad I cut off my season tickets a few years ago, I Will watch the dumpster fire from the comfort of home in Atlanta.

THis is so frigging depressing..........

Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor satisfaction to the wise,
Nor riches to the smart,
Nor grace to the learned.
Sooner or later bad luck hits us all.

Ah the  they didn't hire the coach I wanted, good bye you were never a fan to begin with.

fsujax

I did see where they also hired Tom Coughlin as VP of Football Operations. Seems to be overlooked quite largely from what I have seen so far.

Not the guy that I wanted, but he wasn't even getting interviewed anyhow.

The simple fact remains the same, I don't care who the coach is as long as we're winning.

I guess the new pecking order will be Coughlin, Caldwell (who also got an extension) and Marrone as the new HC.  I think who they bring in to actually coach will be interesting.  Do they keep the coordinators and position coaches since they already have a 'working' relationship with Marrone or do they completely clean house?

Edit:

Welp... that didn't take long to find an answer to that side of the ball...Defensive side stays intact.
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
