Has anyone else been to Wembley, its nice don't get me wrong but they could use an update for those scoreboards, you can barely see them. Several other teams are playing in London next season Miami, Atlanta, Oakland and a few others. Another note on the British commentary they said the 49ers match up was not a good one for the Jags(not talent wise :)) but the 49ers are already popular here and next year will be better b/c for some reason the British don't like the cowboys. I thought that was an odd comment.

the stadium is only about 6 years old I believe.

I apologize to both you and Keith for offending, was not intentional. In the future I will keep such things to myself as you suggested.

You're cool Jay, you didn't have to apologize. I wouldn't call what you linked 'offensive' by no means.

QuoteI know the Jags have a pretty good collection of picks, but we've got to make more noise in the free agency department than last season, right?

Can't fix this mess in one year, no matter who you bring in. The Jax Radio guys said that San Fran had 3 #1 draft picks on the OL. They are a super bowl contender. We had one #1 pick and we traded away our other #1 pick, so to me, it looks like Caldwell is following another strategy over what San Fran has done....we'll see.

Line play is important. But Green Bay, Pittsburgh and Indy won Super Bowl in recent years with mediocre lines. The guy behind center is more important. I actually don't think the line has been that bad aside from Meester and Bradfield. Pasztor looks like a guy who might be a fit at right tackle.

I don't know about that.  Our blocking is atrocious, and we have no pass pressure at all.  Both offensive and defensive line upgrades are needed.  I agree that QB is the most glaring need.  It will be interesting to watch our offseason moves.

Does anyone else feel we are being out coached in every game?  Blown coverages and blocking assignments seem to be the rule.

Mark Brunell said that he thinks the Jags are moving to London; What is this, the curse of the Pride of the Jaguars or something? Just when I was starting to get over Fred Taylor talking that LA BS a few years ago...Tony Boselli is the only one who sticks up for Jax. I'm going to a freaking concession stand when he (Brunell) gets inducted. What a true ambassador... SMDH.....

Brunell apparently backpedaling in a big way, but the damage was already done on a national show that can't ever mention the Jaguars without trying to relocate them in the next breath.  He can try to save face and say he doesn't want it to happen all he wants. He still went on a show that has frequently degraded Jacksonville fans, which is broadcast nationally, and gave credibility to their move-hyping crusade, as well as to anyone in Jacksonville who fears getting on board as a fan because they've taken the national media meme seriously.

Does anyone know what the earliest out date in the Stadium lease is?

It's 2027.  But don't be thinking in those terms anyway.  Khan has shown ample evidence of his commitment to Jacksonville.  The national media, in its preying on Jacksonville in a desperate effort to get the team to move, constantly speculates about a move in an effort to make a move seem inevitable, hoping thus to depress fan support and create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Should Mark Brunell be inducted to the Pride now? I know I'm gonna boo him.

I agree with Khan's commitment to the City, but the NFL wants a team in Europe eventually (LA will get a team before London) .  Expansion seems unlikely with 34 being an odd number to divide into divisions.   I personally think it would be a difficult proposition to permanently field a team across the Atlantic for several reasons the biggest being travel, especially to and from the West coast.

14 years is almost a lifetime in "Stadium years" so the current improvements only lead me to believe that the commitment to Jacksonville is strictly for the current lease period, and until an extension comes (probably tied to another major renovation) there are no guarantees.

The bottom line is the next 10 years are critical for the future of the Jags in Jacksonville.  It allows for another generation of Jaguar fans to mature and become season ticket holders.  It's a decade for current season ticket holders to grow their disposable income to afford better seats.  It's a decade for the City to continue to grow, hopefully growing the business base which in turn grows support for the team.

I truly think Khan is committed to making it work in Jacksonville permanently, but I also am cognizant that the NFL is a business, and Jacksonville needs to continue to grow and in turn grow its support for the home team making the business case for keeping the team here a no brainer.

Latest reports are that the NFL is more interested in eventually fielding 8 games a year in London showcasing 16 different teams than dealing with the headaches of a full blown London squad.
