Dapperdan

We will not get any good trade value for him. He only has 120 yards rushing so far in 4 games. We are looking at late round picks at best, but I say stock up on them.

^ well I would assume MJD is "for sale"....like Monroe, he's in a contract year....and I think if the Jags can get some worthy draft picks for him, it would make for a good trade

I'd be happy getting a 3rd rounder from a good team or a 4th from a bad one.

He may have meant a lot to our team in the past, but 'what have you done for me lately'?
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Well, of the Winless Wonders™, only the Bucs and the Jags will be in the market for a new QB. I still like our Bridgewater chances!

I think Pittsburgh might be soon. That team is in need of a major house cleaning and Ben will be 32 at the start of next season. If they end up with a top 5 pick, I could see them taking a young QB to build around and shopping Roethlisberger.

QuoteFootball Thursday: Can 'Madden' video game do more to help NFL in London than the Jaguars?

LONDON – Roger Goodell is going to hate this.

But people in London don't want the Jacksonville Jaguars. They don't want Blaine Gabbert or Chad Henne or whatever scatter-armed passer the Jags profess to be their franchise quarterback. They don't want a team that has won seven games since 2011 and seems unlikely to win another one anytime soon. In fact, they might not want an NFL team at all....
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

That ain't going to come close to happening.  We'd be lucky to get a 6th rounder.

Ha!  I'd be really impressed if Caldwell could even get a conditional 7th.
So I said to him: Arthur, Artie come on, why does the salesman have to die? Change the title; The life of a salesman. That's what people want to see.

There's just way too many young, plenty-of-upside RBs out there to waste anything valuable on an aging, declining Maurice Jones-Drew. Even if he ends up resigning with the Jags, they'd do well to start searching for his replacement.

Of course, the Colts did just overpay for Trent Richardson, so it isn't completely out of the question that some team would give up a late-round pick for MJD.

Isn't Roethlisberger a free agent after this year?  Philip Rivers, too, I think.

The Steelers will want to keep Roethlisberger, but I can see Roethlisberger bolting if this team doesn't start getting its shit together.

Rivers and Cutler are for sure. I didn't think Ben was.

Just read Caldwell said that he wasnt shooping Monroe around, and that the Ravens actually call him with the deal. And of course it was a good offer so he took it. LOL

Richardson is one year out of school...and was a high 1st round pick for the Browns in 2012...not sure the Colts overpaid by much
