I-10, Duvaldude, Swaz, Megatron, KenFSU, and anyone else who I'm used to seeing on this thread...

We are looking for some fill in players for the MetroJax FF League.  Send me a PM if you're interested, and check out the HERE
if you want to see what to expect.

Thanks.

As an aside....  don't expect to come in and win, we really just need to fill some roster spots so that I have a few more chumps to beat this year.  :D

Sorry, just saw this! Man, if it was any other year, I'd be all over this. I've got baby number one on the way this fall, and from what those in the know tell me, kids can be a bit time consuming in the beginning. Get your practice in now though friend, because next year, I'm coming for the crown!

---

Also, some PRETTY rough tweets from Gene Frenette coming out of practice today. Apparently the offense looked every bit as ugly as it did on Friday night.

Im trying to stay unbias this preseason. Last year we look great in preseason and won three games, just to look like a hot turd and win two games in the regular season. Im just chillin and see how things pan out this time. But the offense does need work though.

I think it's best to stay with very tempered expectations.  It will take another year or two to undo Gene Gene's decision making.

There are things to be excited about with this year's team, new energy, new weapons, but until we see vastly improved QB play it's gonna be rough to watch for the most part.  Hopefully MJD is up to carrying this team as he did in 2011.

I just expect them to take their lumps once again with maybe a three game improvement at best.  Until we see vastly improved QB play it's gonna be rough to watch.

I completly agree. Our QB situation is making me sick to my stomach, but its all for the greater good. Ive concluded our future QB is not on our roster. I still say this comes from a decade of mishanlding the QB position under Del Rio.

If we had an Andrew Luck or RG3 in there, we would be very decent this season. Unfortnately thats not gonna be the case. Im looking forward to us drafting a QB next year.

Just checked out Forbes and the Jags are FINALLY not #32. The Raiders have taken the spot as the least vauable NFL franchise LOL We are now #31 whoot whoot (not really but whatever LOL). Our value is now 840 million. Atleast its going up.

Thanks for the info Duval. I can't imagine with Khan being at the helm that this team isn't gonna continue to ascend in value over the years.

To all of the people who says "the Jags aren't getting revenue like other NFL teams" the Jags 2012 revenue was 260 million, ahead of eleven teams. MIN, KC, SF, OAK, ARI, BUF, SD, STL, DET, CIN & ATL.

I also think we'll see the team to continue to move up under Khan. One thing I would point out about the teams above in terms of revenue. Minnesota, Atlanta and San Fran will all have new stadiums in the next few seasons and they are likely to sky rocket up the rankings, especially the Niners. Having said that, I would not be surprised to see the Jags remain ahead of the other teams listed. And they should move up as the team hopefully improves and Khan/Lamping open up additional revenue streams.

Lamping is the man, to sell out last season with the crappy team, was inspirational! Khan has great people in the backoffice, now we will see if these coaches and players are worth a damn. Last game was not inspiring.

No.  I harbor no illusions about the fact that the team's not going to be very good, but it takes a whole lot of catastrophe, bad luck, injury, and discontent to put a team in an 0-16 mode, or even a 2-14.  Worse than 4-12 would surprise me.

I will be happy if they show promise.  I know it sounds like a low expectation but the upside is I still stand the chance of being pleasantly surprised later on if they perform well.  :)

I agree. It takes alot to be that bad. If you look at last year starting in the preseason, things were falling apart before the season even started. It takes alot of bad JuJu to go 2-14.  4-12 or better is my prediction as well.

I know I do. I was not even upset about the game last week. I sat here with my towel on my head chillin. I was just happy to be there and see the reigme and players out there. So far our draft picks look really good. If they play well during the regular season also, I think we are well on our way :)

Rome wasn't built in a day? Besides look here "As of the end of the 2012-13 season, 14 NFL teams have never won a Super Bowl. There are 10 teams that have been to the Super Bowl (in years shown) and lost each time: Minnesota Vikings (0-4) 1970, 1974, 1975, 1977, Buffalo Bills (0-4) consecutively 1991-1994, Cincinnati Bengals (0-2) 1982, 1989, Philadelphia Eagles (0-2) 1981, 2005, San Diego Chargers (0-1) 1995, Atlanta Falcons (0-1) 1999, Tennessee Titans (0-1) 2000, Carolina Panthers (0-1) 2004, Seattle Seahawks (0-1) 2006, Arizona Cardinals (0-1) 2009,  There are 4 Teams that have never played in a Super Bowl : Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars" http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_nfl_teams_have_never_won_a_super_bowl#page3

We still have hope and Thank God we do.  ;)
