^ I always liked Harris. He reminded me a lil of MJD with his speed and shiftiness. It's a shame we released him. At the time i guess we 'thought' we had a logjam at RB.

Reminds me of MJD also... Gene Smith let a good one go...

Sadly, Harris' saga is a fitting epitaph for the Gene era.  It was Gene who discovered him as an undrafted FA and gave him an opportunity to show his potential, but then let go of him.

I was utterly pissed when we let him go. Im not even a GM or scout but seen the potential in him to be explosive. He was powerful and fast. Im not shocked he's doing well. Im happy for him.

Not sure if he'll land on his feet, but he'll land on those millions of dollars that they had to pay him by firing him early.

Mularkey has an extensive resume that include successes. (just not as a head coach)  He may not get an opportunity at head coach again, but he will end with a job somewhere. I wish him the best. I still would have like to seen what he could have done with an adequate roster, but oh well. When you re the leader, you take the blow. I'm curious to see who we hire next.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired head coach Mike Mularkey, according to a team news release.
Newly hired general manager David Caldwell informed Mularkey of the decision Thursday.
“I informed Mike today that he will not return as head coach of the Jaguars,” Caldwell said in the release. “I know Mike well and do not want anyone to misinterpret the rationale behind my decision. Mike is an excellent coach and I am sure he will succeed in his next stop in the NFL. However, I must do what I believe is best for the Jacksonville Jaguars and immediately explore every avenue possible to turn our football team around. For that to happen as seamlessly as we want, and as quickly as our fans deserve, I feel it is in everyone’s best interests for an immediate and clean restart.”
Owner Shahid Khan will introduce Caldwell at a Thursday news conference.
