No offense, but they've gayed up the whole thing - from the unis to the stadium decore.  I'll still cheer for them, their my team, but feel like I can only wear my jersey in a closet.  Just sayin'   ;D

Look on the bright side.  At least they'll play in a real baseball park and be competitive.  Let's just hope they don't sell off the roster for a pair of sweaty socks again.

I just took a quick peek on the Jaguars.com comments and boards... That place is about as bad as the Times Union comments which is a shame.

I'm pretty confident moving forward.  We have a couple of new vets mixed in with some farm grown talent - and probably one of the most controversial managers in baseball.  The best thing about it is Lauria will have no idea, like the rest of us, what in the hell Ozzie is even saying, so he'll just nod his head and stick to the script.

My only fear is that Ozzie and LoMo's twitter feed gets shut down this year.   :'(  Other than that, I think we stand a good chance taking a weak NL East division.  The Nats are full of rookies, and they're, well, the Nats.  The Mets are still stung over the Madoff fiasco.  The Phillies are coming off some major injuries and loss of some key players.  The Braves are going to be tough, but that's why we play the game.

I dont read those things. I dont even know why sites have them,. Most of those people putting comments up dont even by tickets or come to games. Then there alot of people creatig accounts that are gator fans so they can post. When you look at it, if you have 30 people on their posting negative crap, and compare it to the 62,000 that show up to games, their comments dont matter either way.

I just read comment on Jaguars.com as well and WHOOOOOO. They are crazy. Now were being blamed because Tebow wanted to go to NY. Now does everyone see why he didnt need to come here. We attempted to trade for him and we get blamed because HE felt NY was a better situation. Imagine if he had came here and failed? It would have been our fault, not his.

Via Twitter, Shad Khans comments to Jason La Canfora concerning Tim Tebow: "Earlier this week I asked Gene Smith and his staff to explore the potential of acquiring Tim Tebow.... I think we have a duty to consider all avenues of improving the Jaguars on and off the field, especially given the unique circumstances.... Involving the player I appreciate the high level of due diligence Gene and his staff dedicated to this matter even as late as this evening...and I am very satisfied with the outcome. Our commitment to develop Blaine Gabbert was, and still is, central to our goal of returning the Jaguars to elite status in the NFL. We're looking ahead with zero regrets".

The Jaguars offer was for the full 5 million plus the draft picks. reportedly, the Jets got him for half the amount. I believe Shad wanted him much more than anyone thought, and made a real aggresive offer. Also, reports are coming out now that Tebow may not have had a choice now. This is such a  confusing issue for everyone.

What baffles me is... jags fans should be angry at management for not aggressively pursuing Manning or Mario Williams.  As far as I can tell they made no pitch at all for those two.
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

It would have been a lot more than 5 million to get them.

I really wish these stupid people would get off Khan. Unless you were a fly on the wall, no one knows what really happened. Although I would not have liked Tebow being here, I actually respect Khan for sticking by his word about his admiration for Tebow and going for it. You gotta admit he has balls.

The stupid people in this city will never be satisfied with nothing the Jags do. Ive come to realize that. Thats why is crictal for the Jags to be regional and national to build the fan base, because the locals are a few french fries short of a happy meal.
