@Josh - read about 4-5 posts back to get the full context.
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

what is more simple is to put a product on the field that people want to see.  seems to me the writing of the team sale has been on the wall.  30+ million below the spending limit.  WW lining his pockets with as much cash as possible in the past few years.  the giant profits WW make on the sale.  blaming the city for not supporting the team.  maybe WW needed to support the team before the fans by making good draft choices and giving us something worth watching.  i have only been to three games this season and the ravens game was the least painful to witness.  had free tickets to last monday night's game, passed and am happy i did.  watching blaine scared and in the fetal position on the ground and a no name rookie secondary looking lost is not my idea of fun.  the jags have become embarrassing this season.

New owner:  Take note of what ww has done the past few seasons and do the opposite.  Please give us a team we can be proud of and entertaining to watch!

The no name rookie secondary was the result of injuries to Lowery, Mathis, Cox, and Middleton, not some deliberate choice WW made to save money.

i think i mentioned the injuries on defense in relation to another post on here, so i didn't repeat myself.  my comment to lining his pocket with cash was in relation to being +30 million dollar below the payroll cap.  that 30 could have a direct relationship to a lack impact players on offense and depth on the bench.  you cant build an entire team around a star running back when you have a week offensive line and receivers who put the ball on the ground when blaine finally gets one thrown to them.  i will admit the offense looked better on monday night, but i don't think they could have looked any worse than did during the first half of the season.

Quotecollapsed because majority of the Defense players were injured.

2 starting CBs, and 1 starting DE are the majority of the defense? Alu Alu and Smith as well as the other starters would not appreciate that note. Plus, its hard to compete all night when your offense is consistently going 3 and out.
And, that $115 will save Jacksonville from financial ruin. - Mayor John Peyton

"This is a game-changer. This is what I mean when I say taking Jacksonville to the next level."

Mathis, Cox, Middleton, Roth, Session, and chick are all on IR now. Potroast was out previously but played with the bad ankle monday. Landry got injuried Monday and is limited.... SO yeah our defense has issues now. Hopefully they can move some people around and fill in the gaps so we can make it through the season without getting blown out.

Just went on line and looked at our few highlights from Monday (LOL) and regardless of the loss, I am very proud of our fan base. Its amazing how loud the crowd sounds on TV. It doesnt sound like that loud in stadium.

*** NO BLACKOUT FOR SUNDAY'S GAME VS. THE BUCS ***

Interesting:  The Jags were granted an extension from the NFL with ~5,500 tickets remaining yesterday.  The Chargers threw in the towel & declared their blackout yesterday with ~5,000 remaining.

Santa Khan?

I presume that we'll close out the year with no blackouts at this juncture as the season ender vs. the Colts has more infringement already from early buyers anticipating much larger implications with the matchup.  Regardless, that will make for a 21 game streak (incl. preseason) for the Jags - well done.

I'm optimistic about good things to come & keep trying to find nuggets & teasers from sports radio chatter based on the new owner's ambitions.

Go Jags.

As long as there are butts in the seats, I can care less how they get on it TV. We always have more than enough by game day anyways, so even if the tickets were bought up, they will make the money back. So its a win-win situation really. Good things are coming! Go Jags!

I threw in the towel for the season after Monday Night's game.

That's how frustrating and disappointing it was.

Still couldn't resist buying extra tickets for Sunday's game though.

Maybe I'm a sucker for abuse :)

From now until the end of the season, with no real pressure left to win and the worst having already happened (hopefully), we're really going to see what Gabbert is made of.

i think the defense has played better without mathis.  but starting a rookie secondary in the nfl is not a gameplan for winning.  those poor guys coming from the practice squad to play their first nfl game on monday night football against phillip rivers is not an easy task.  i felt for them.

Yeah the Chargers haev done terriable this season, but Rivers is an excellent QB. The rest of our schedule consist of team with struggling QB's or back up, so I think the secondary will manage for the next four games. ATL might run us crazy, but thats it.

At the beginning of the season T Tebow was third string in  Denver and we dumped Garrard. Wish we could have traded. Tebow would help sell seats even if he just ran the Wildcat a few times. And he is showing all the "Intangibles" you need to be a winner in the NFL.

Yeah you are a sucker for pain Ken. LOL Well Im not going to the game Sunday. I can not do two games in one week. It is exhausting when you are constantly losing. So my ticket will probably be donated to Charity or sold. So Im laying across the couch for this one. I'll be back for the Colts game. I need a break. Go Gabbert!  ;D

At least there's no pressure for this one.

The Colts game will be the same way.

No national spotlight, no consequence of winning or losing.

That's why I think Gabbert's play will be so interesting to watch. Either he'll loosen up and come alive, or sink away. I'm really hoping for the former.

Yeah I hope he shakes something. I notice he always does well with teams that have less intimadating defenses. When he faces a top defense, he cracks. And when he's on the spot, like MNF. Both games he froze. He did much better this past monday, but he is scared out of his in primetime. I hope he can get over this. I think he can be a really good QB, he just has to work out some of these kinks.
