Looks like Eberflus is going to Chicago.  Leftwich has the the upper hand.  Anyone other than Leftwich is egg in the face for the front office.

Sparks flying on Jaguars Today at 1010XL.. I like Mike Dempsey a lot. Latest rumour is new GM Adrian Wilson (bye bye Baalke) and Leftwich to be hired.
For what it's worth, BL was only interviewed by one other team, not a ringing endorsement.....

Good luck Jags fans!

Adrian Wilson:  Adrian Lemar Wilson is an American football executive and former safety who is the vice president of pro scouting for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. Wilson played college football at NC State and was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft.

New Orleans has requested to interview Leftwich for their opening.

This is amazing - it shouldn't be hard.

Jim Caldwell is still available. IMO he's the best candidate. But if Baalke stays it's all moot.

Not really for or against these hires. Will give them a chance though.

I think the thing the Jags need is a new owner.

If Baalke goes, does that open up a much wider range of possibilities?  Like the Patriots' Josh McDaniels (who may be hired by others [e.g. the Raiders] now) who I thought might at one time been a serious consideration until I read about Baalke scaring off such candidates.

New owners might be more inclined to move the team. Not sure of the lease arrangements for the stadium but how many deep-pocketed people (as far as the NFL is concerned) with ties to the city are there?

Khan has said publicly he plans to leave the team to his kids, so the family isn't going anywhere. That said, the rumors are that Tony Khan has no use for Trent Baalke. Not sure if that's true but it seems to be the case based on rumors (and I'd have to agree).

I don't think Shad is a bad person, I think he is for some reason toxic to sports.  He can leave the team to his heirs no matter where the team goes.  I think the football fans in Jacksonville have to be the most loyal and patient in the country.  If Khan gets this head coach hire wrong, he may end that loyalty.

This is a bit dramatic.  Jets, Lions, Raiders, Browns, and Redskins/WTF have been struggling longer than Jacksonville has had a team.

At this point, Khan, please cut yourself. That is all.

My theory is once Leftwich said he would not work with Baalke and wanted Wilson that slowed the whole process down. They were not counting on hiring a new GM....so they had to now interview Wilson.  In addition you are required to interview two minority candidates even if you hire a minority.  So they would now have to interview a candidate who is willing to be interviewed who realistically knows he will not be hired since Wilson is Leftwich's choice.  And of course Leftwich will not sign a contract until the GM issue is finalized.

All are in much larger markets.  I think the teams mentioned by you to be a lot like the Jags since Khan entered.  THE OWNERS
