The Springfield/Urban Core Relay for Life is less than a week away, in fact, it's next Saturday! This is an 18 hour event, where we celebrate survivors and it's our main fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. Donations help fund research which means new treatment options...which means more survivors.

There's still time to start of join a team, or simply come out, show your support. There's a great line up of events and entertainment, along with various teams selling food, drinks and a wide variety of items.

We closed out the relay for 2012, with a fantastic wrap up party. Recognizing everyone who participated and celebrating our accomplishments. $30,834 is the current total, which will likely continue to rise.

An excellent point was made, that of all the relays held in the Jacksonville area, ours would stand in 2nd place, as per money raised per person. That, is outstanding, and everyone should feel proud to have participated.
