Do as he says, voters!  Doctor's orders!! ;)

You've heard of Each One Teach One. Well, Each One Take One - to the polls. Take a family member, a friend or a neighbor to vote. Turn out is critical.

Im up here in NYC, missing you guys, but hey i voted early.
I saw Alvin at memorial park, as he was on a swing to speak everywhere.
I knew he was my man, but he really has such a concrete plan for our city.
I do like Mike Hogan, but when you listen to the candidates thoughts plans ideas for
Jacksonville in 2011, it just doesnt even seem close!
Congrats to alvins team they did a magnificent job!
Oh, the mets won! Go daniel murph!

Folks, I hate to dash cold water on your enthusiasm but it's going to take more than the Metro Jax crowd to put Alvin over the line. Lots of other people have to turn out and vote. Poll numbers are too darn close.

This....Metro Jacksonville is such a small group of people. I still feel Jacksonville is not smart enough to vote Brown as their mayor. 5 Days left and now there is some drama in the race.

+1 There's a good chance of that happening.

Even Hogan's paid staffers are taking a desperate tone today... http://jacksonville.com/opinion/blog/403455/jim-schoettler/2011-05-12/hogan-camp-slaps-brown-and-media-elite-brown-camp

I guess calling the Times Union a liberal media elite, and every sensible wealthy republican in town a 'limousine liberal' pissed off the TU board, as the story is now being featured on the front page of www.jacksonville.com ...... way to go, Hoganites!

The TU Board? Who is that?

Just got a nasty mailer today about how Brown wants to spend $20+ million on downtown projects and starve the rest of J-ville to serve "downtown's constituency." It linked him to the Skyway, the courthouse, every bad idea anywhere (none of which he had anything to do with)--I was looking to see whether he was implicated in the South losing the Civil War . . .

meh.  the number of people who post here is under a thousand altogether.  The readership is several times larger than folio's.

Also, the Times Union Editorial Board.

Readership?  Who are these cowards you speak of?

its meant to scare conservatives to the polls. Its not about appealing to undecided voters.

Hogan has made downtown his #1 issue against Brown. As an Urban advocate, that scares the bejesus out of me.

why...because you think/know that a lot of people in Duval don't care much about downtown?

Jimmy

As seen on twitter:  64,926 have voted early voting and absentee. 29,654 Democrats, 29,009 Republicans, 6,263 independents/npas. - SOE report Sunday

If you know any person with an inkling to vote for Alvin Brown, you need to make sure they get to their precinct on Tuesday.  It's going to be a squeaker.

Do you guys really think Alvin Brown has a chance? Jacksonville making the right choice seems a lil foreign...

I think Alvin is the best chance we have now, and I personally think he has a good chance. I don't want to think abt Hogan in office ...and how rapidly we would decline
