Plus, on Saturday, during the day, there is a Holiday Festival in the park.  Last I read 45 vendors (local artisians, crafts, etc. )
Good stuff all around.

I just bought the Pearl St. house (#7 on the tour) and am looking forward to meeting everyone that's going!

It's happening Saturday too, right? Trying to talk my wife into it but she is insistent that we have more Christmas decorating to do... at this point we'll be done Christmas Eve!

I saw you when I was decorating the empty house across the street...and your house has always been one of my favorites, what a beauty it is! Welcome to the hood!!

the holiday fest in the park might be fun, but i'll be staying far away from the 'oh look what you'e done with all your money!' ego-stroking that is the SPAR home tour.

It's sad that you feel that way. Spar is sponsoring the tour this year, other years, it's been the Women's Club. It's a lovely way to show others the beauty of restoring these old lovely homes. People are proud, and they should be. It takes a great deal of money, effort and time. Many of my dear friends have had their homes part of the tour, and I find it a lovely way to show the rebirth of their homes.

Stay Classy.

Not all of the homes are those big dollar ones.  Many through out the years have been lovingly done on a shoe string.  It is a great opportunity for all to see what Springfield houses are all about.

Yes, Saturday as well.  Tickets will be sold up until 8:00 p.m. at the Karpelis Manuscript Museum, 1st and Laura.

Oh, and Kuro, the home tours are wonderful ways to interest people in Springfield.  Every year, we "sell" houses on the Holiday Tour.  People come to the tours, chat with the residents, fall in love with the houses, and decide to move here.

I found awesomw photos of the tour on www.myspringfield.org site.       Anybody know about that site? It looks good
