sure Stephen...but you still haven't answered the questions I raised....so again....

Why the City would set up a department/commission that is tasked with doing the same things JTA is tasked with?

Don't you think JTA and/or the Legislature would weigh in on this?

In these days of tighter budgets, me thinks it would be a hard sell to have 2 agencies tasked with the same job

You split them up so JTA can go back to their "EXPRESSWAY AUTHORITY" roots, regionally if needs be, and a new JACKSONVILLE METRO or some such takes over the public transit, and serves as a new RAIL AUTHORITY. As you know TU there is a hell of a lot of difference in steel wheel on steel rail and rubber meeting the road.
