Facebook Petition for the Jaguars to get Tim Tebow!

If they are training him to be an NFL QB, they aren't doing a very good job. That play in the first quarter where he went helmet-to-helmet with Eric Berry was dumb. NFL careers are ended (see Trent Green) because of plays like that.

I believe that after the Senior Bowl, the NFL Combine and UF Pro Day that Tebow will not be a first round pick. I think he could slide quite a bit. There will probably be at least a half dozen QBs that get drafted before him.

Excellent point
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Look at what Timmy is pimping.

Who wouldn't want that on the team?

It's the Three Wolf Moon for goodness sake!  Give the man a contract!

Lol, nice photoshop on the shirt. People actually thought that was his girlfriend. Oh pulease, she has been photographed everywhere showing off what mommy and daddy bought her.

Why would the Jags want a QB who against Tennessee ran the same play 75% of the times...the option run or run up the middle in the same exact set everytime.  They ran that play ALL THE TIME.  That will NEVER work in the NFL
The qb was not calling the plays...

He doesn't, but it is his decision what to do if the play starts to fall apart.

He may seem like a nice person and do a lot of charity and such, but IMO, he seems to carry himself with this god-like aura. He just seems like such a douche, thinking he is indestructable and can't be stopped. Well, I got news for you big boy, try what you did with E. Berry this past weekend, and you'll be on the IR list in a hot second.

Why?  Eric Berry is a 2 time All-American and arguably one of the best defensive players in college football - He will almost certainly be drafted higher than Tebow & subsequently be an immediate impact player in the NFL next season - won't Tebow still be able to lower his shoulder just like Saturday?

While I'm not completely sold on Tebow being Divine or even becoming a star in the NFL, I do feel like a late round experiment could be worth the risk - even if he's relegated to the practice squad.  I for one am convinced the move WOULD increase ticket sales - absolutely no doubt about it.  The Jags have FAILED overall in the first round for the last decade.  If he's available down the board, I don't see how the franchise could pass - another team won't - it isn't like he'll go undrafted.  Say goodbye to another wave of ticket holders if another franchise picks him up (they will) & he becomes a key contributor - both to the team & the community.  If we were willing to accept the Matt Jones experiment, isn't Tebow that much easier?  Like it or not, I do think the Jags will be pigeonholed into finding a way to get him on the roster.

So the idea is to draft 1st round long shot "experiment's" because the old GM didn't have much luck in the his first round selections? :-/

Anyone check out this group on Facebook? It appears to be run by a student at UNF who got a bunch of people at UNF to join up as members. The premise being that everyone in this group is going to buy season tickets if Tebow is drafted? I'm sure Wayne Weaver is buying that.

111 members, yep Wayne should jump onto that bandwagon, only 15,000 more to go.
