What's the hype about Skype?

Have you heard about Skype?  It's free Skype to Skype calls to anywhere.  All you need is Skype.  I'm going to try it out. Anybody using it? Becky, my old roomate in Austin told me about it.

Totally kick &$*#.  I just downloaded the software and created my account.  They give you like 10 minutes as a test call.  I called my sister's cell phone and had a christmas chat.  My name is ttowkach on skype if you wanna halla!  This is great pate, but I gotta bolt if I'm going to get to that Tim Burton movie.

It's great if you are out of town or overseas even.  Set up the webcam on both ends and see and talk to everyone back home for free, provided you both have a decent internet connection.  I've never used it to talk with someone on a cell phone or a home line, I think that aspect of it actually costs money.
