REMEMBERING MICHAEL... The Victory Tour - Jacksonville

This is the greatest concert I've ever attended.  I will never forget the energy and vibe going on in the city anticipating the arrival of Michael Jackson.  I drove by the then Gator Bowl everyday watching as the stage grew higher and higher.  This was almost as big as the superbowl.  Jake Godbold was instrumental in bringing  this to Jax.  This is a big deal we snagged this from the likes of Miami, Orlando, and Tampa.  Michael didn't disappoint, the show was awesome.  I attended the last of three shows performed here, but I was at the stadium the first two nights listening from the outside.  I had to hear Michael sing 'Human Nature' in person.

We love you Michael, you are the greatest entertainer of all times forever!

What's sad is that getting such a huge event as this would never happen in JAX today.  Is it the city's fault, or lack of promoters aggressive enough to snag stadium tours?

In my opinion it's not the city.  You have to have promoters show believe in and fight for the city.

Thanks coredumped, I enjoyed looking over these.  This brought back some good memories.  Actually, the photographer is a friend of mine.
