Was just downtown on Adams -- the 100 block of East Adams to be exact, which I'm realizing I rarely, if ever, am on E of London Bridge.

Turns out just E of London Bridge, there is a cigar/wine bar called poppylove smoke. Saw it for the first time this afternoon and went in to check it out. Talked to Joel, one of the partners and a renaissance guy.

Imho, he and his partners did a nice job on interior so it has a decent vibe. I'll be checking it out (to actually spend some $ there) sometime soon. If you didn't know it was there, it's worth visiting.

Think that pic is out of date as in both the cigar and wine bar area, the bar was on the right-hand wall. Looks better now.

That image was taken for a story we ran about their grand opening in 2007.  They just recently expanded into a space next door.  Word on the street is that a second cigar bar is planned for the space next door to Northstar Substation (the yellow brick storefront).  A couple of people claim that it will be ran by the same group, but at this point I can't definitely confirm if it will be or not.

For downtown, they overspent. That is a great picture of the next foreclosure of downtown.

That image was taken when they originally opened.  Things must be going good because they have doubled in size.

Thanks for the adhoc changes.
