What happened to the gold accents?  Are we saving money by getting rid of the fourth color? And where are the bolder pants stripes and numbers?  And those lines coming from the armpits?  Looks like we spouted wings!

I liked the older schemes better and wished they just picked one of those and stayed with it.  I guess Reebok could afford to sponsor the billboards because they figure the fans will now go out and buy the all-new color schemes.

I still miss the leaping full body jaguar of the first season they were forced to drop when Jaguar Motor Cars objected to the similarity to its trademark.
Hey!  Whatever happened to just plain ol' COMMON SENSE!!

^^^I totally agree. It seem like the reaction most Jags fans have concerning the uniforms is like "eh, they're okay"; That's even the reaction that the CBS 47 newcasters had this evening. I guess I'll live wit' em.

I like them! I am very happy they finally changed. I liked the old ones, but it was time for a new look. Jaguars official have a throwback jersey now, so if they get a Thanksgiving game we can all remember the old sets. I wish the helmet went teal though. It would have made the change more noticeable through out the league. I doubt a Cowboys or Steelers fan will notice the little changes.  good Stuff

Lets revisit the whole "throwback thing" in 20 or 30 years... ::)
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Its payback time for ending Marino's career with a 62-7 thumping 10 years ago.  New uniforms won't save the Jags from Ronnie, Ricky and the Wildcat on Dec. 13. (coming from a Phins fan)

I like the new font, actually, I would have liked any font that was different from the old type face. I can't say what I didn't like about the old style, but it just set my teeth on edge.

I'm still hoping they can bust out All Black for one home game a year.

According to Mr. Weaver the all black is over and done.  For all home games it'll be teal over white and for road games it'll be white over black unless the home team chooses their light colored jerseys.  In that case we'll wear our "home uniform" on the road.  No special combos.

Concur.....boring!  The black on black that they DID have was sweet!  The should have done an all spotted helmet kind of like the Bengals have the striped helmets instead of the Carolina-esk head on the side.  Who designed these uniforms anyway?

Judging by the sheer uninspired blandness... I would have to guess... Jack Del Rio... ;)

I still think the new helmets need booming bass and spinner rims.

I actually think they are decent.  Remember, something that is supposed to be timeless generally won't exhibit any "wow"s (because usually the Wow's involve something trendy).

Will these last the test of time?  Ask me in 10 years.

One thing that I wish they did was keep ANY logo on them.  I know they ditched the full body logo (which I agree with), but I wish they put the jaguar head logo on the sleeves.

I'm on the "blah" bandwagon. The new stripes on the jersey and pants just seem out of place to me.

The new helmet color is kind of cool and we're the only one to have a color changing helmet.

The biggest disappointment for me is the new teal. It's like a powdered dulled down shade of teal that doesn't pop like the old electric vibrant teal.

The new font and Jaguar name logo is uninspiring as well. The team got all these changes from the NFL's creative department. I can just see the exchange;

Weaver: Hey NFL Creative, how bout' a fresh look for the 2009 Jacksonville Jaguars?
NFL Creative: Aren't they a Canadian team?

It's funny how we were always criticized for teal being our main color and now that what I miss the most  :-\
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Looks like the Jags aren't the only cats tweaking things -

Sadly, my Lions should focus less on what they're wearing and more on winning games.
