Any idea when we will get a peek at the new uniforms?

Vic: They will be unveiled at a press conference on April 22.

I'm not expecting any drastic changes.  Vic has said that they will be more tweaks to existing stuff.

QuoteVic: That’s a nice story and I never try to let the facts get in the way of a good story, but I think the Jaguars were headed for this uniform change regardless of the changes in their hierarchy. Long before last season began, I heard rumblings about Wayne Weaver wanting a cleanup and standardization of the uniform design. The concern was that there were too many combinations and that the Jaguars were losing identity. What are their true colors and which is their dominant color? I think the new uniform design is going to define the team’s colors and provide distinct home and away combinations.

Not sure how much validity there is, but this was on the Jaguars message board - It would appear to show Jones-Drew in a new style jersey -  anyone seen this billboard?  The date stamp is what threw me off, I suppose.

Yeah, I saw the same billboard tonight on my way home from work. It was on 295 right by Old St Augustine Road.

I saw the same thing on Beach and 295. Pretty cool looking billboards.

I like the idea of a more standardized uni and maybe it will help build a stronger team identity but... I'm going to miss the all black uni's.

The all black uniforms were sweet.  I guess having a throw-back will be a good thing though.

Charles Hunter

I hope they can keep the all black for "special occasions" - say one home game a year.
"Throwback"?  The team is, what, a decade old?  Throwback uni's are for teams that have history - where they go back to a uniform they wore long ago.

Well said. Yeah, our colors are still gonna be teal, black, and gold. :)

I always hate when outsiders esp. Northerners be dawgin' on the Jags teal saying things like it's a "90's expansion team color" Duhhh!!! Were an expansion team from the nineties. LOL! Ohhh!!! teal isn't a "manly" color like an uniform with any boring combo of gray, red, white, or blue like the Pats, Bills, Giants and like eleven other teams. Gimme a break! Ev'ry team can't be gray, red, white, or blue. I think that the Jags colors are fine, and I love em'.

As long as Miami has Aqua, Seattle has Neon Green, & Carolina has "Carolina" Blue leg warmers, we'll be just fine.  BTW, at least we didn't have to explain the winking pirate down in Tampa Bay -

I think our colors are great.  The teal is a very unique color and it looks good.  90s expansion team colors.. well.. what was left?  What were we to do?  "We will take blue and white"  Sorry, that is already taken by about 5 teams.  "OK.. we will do garnet and gold"  Nope, 2 teams pretty much have that.  "OK, what about green?" Nope, got those too.  "Orange?"  Keep trying.

And yet, even after we were left with pretty limited options, I think our uniforms are some of the best looking int he league.  I really do hope that the talk of establishing a "tradition" with the uniform happens.  I don't want to be like the NBA where every team has 14 alternate jerseys.

This will be the Jag's 15th season... and the idea isn't to have a throwback to wear next year but some time in the future possibly years later. You can't have a throw back unless you build some sort of uniform identity.
The color patterns, fonts and pants & shirt combinations have changed a lot through out the years. Now they'll have 2 constant uniform's, home & away.

Anybody think we could see teal pants? I hope not.
