I'm sure you can put any name you want, with the right amount of cash...that's what it all boils down too.

yeah but how come nobody wants it .....we are doing good this year someone should be showing intrest

I doubt a deal would be signed in the middle of the season.  There were rumors about Vistakon buying the naming rights but that deal apparently didn't materialize.  We probably won't see a new name until after this season is over.

You're right, it's not likely that a name will go up this season....there was a deadline for someone to buy the rights, before the municipal name went up...

As for why nobody wants it...it might be a matter of money...but who really knows all the ins and outs involved with those kind of deals

Why doesn't Gate Petroleum or MODIS put their name on it? We have enough companies here to do so, we need to promote the hell out of it.
Jacksonville: We're not vertically challenged, just horizontally gifted!

It's not like they don't have the money...but to be honest, I don't see where it's a big deal not to have a different name than what's there now.

A company like Gate will not put it's name on the stadium. It has no national appeal. Bill Prescott, the Jaguars CFO, has said the stadium name will not change this year. Toyota made a less than desirable offer and was turned down.

We've all seen the ins and outs of striking a deal with the city.  I'm not suggesting that is the problem though.  :)

Am curious though, to see if someone does buy the naming rights for next season...

Blackouts have to hurt any naming right deal, I would think

LP(Louisiana Pacific) Field (where the Titans play) doesn't have any Natl' appeal either, but they gotta deal done. I rather for a lesser-known local company like Gate to have the naming rights for a long time, than a come-and-go big well known corp. from outta town. It's nice to see the local sponsors inside the stadium like Winn-Dixie, MPS/Modis, and Steinmart; Only if we can get a name on the outside of the stadium. IMO CSX would be perfect for the stadium naming rights; It's a big time, well known railroad corporation right here in Jax with a blue-collar presense to boot unlike Accuvue; Oh no, my contact lense isn't on my eye properly. ;D
