My wife found this place and she recently persuaded me to give it a try.  It was fairly small with about 10-15 tables but it was clean and the staff was friendly.  It is family owned.  Service was quick and the food came out hot.  They serve cervesa and Margaritas...  I found the food delicious and it came in large portions.  The other customers appeared to be locals who frequent this establishment often.

Please give it a try if you havent yet or let me know what your experience has been.

La Fiesta at 803 Edgewood Ave S.
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Ya, +1

This place is sure not eye candy. A rented space in a 1960's mini-mall, off the intersection of College and Edgewood. Back when I had my house in Murray Hill, it used to be Sandwich Heaven...

Maybe it's one of those places where the food is still fantastic though. I will try it out.

I have eaten there for several months, but I have also seen some of the comments on here about atmosphere and have been reluctant to comment.
The owner constantly scans the dining area and is visually pleased if he sees you enjoying your food.
Service is excellent and IMO the food is better than La Nop. Hey if your red sauce is better...
The taco salad is huge and in a tortilla bowl. I appreciated when you get an entre they seemed to throw extra meat (or whatever your filling is) around your main portion...Nice touch and generous portions.(fair ala cart prices also..)
The locals will be waiting to hurt me now for revealing it.. :-X

I always see it when I'm leaving the BofA parking lot. I need to give it a try.

I'm formerly from NM and AZ, so am a little picky about my Mexican restaurants. But La Fiesta is definately worth the visit. Have eaten there a number of times--food is well prepared, service enthusiastic, and prices are very reasonable. And it's totally CLEAN! The menu is a cut above the usual burrito-taco-chimi kind of place. Beer good value too.

perhaps when the City has more money to continue the revitalization project, they can expand the sidewalk and allow for outdoor seating. Hard to eat Mexican only inside on a great spring day.

La Fiesta es muy bueno!  Seriously good and unusually clean.  Please keep these folks in business it is the best Mexican in town.

This place is good.  You have to respect a place where the staff is sweating when they take your order.  They are busting butt and the food is great.

It's not bad at all...and you'll probably appreciate the menu with all of the photostock copyrighted images...so they all have the x's on them.
