Commuting on a cushion of air

Cool article from the Daily Record.

"Kurt Peterson loves the Jacksonville Landing, but sometimes the drive in from his office in Green Cove Springs and the fight with Downtown traffic can be a little aggravating.

But next summer, Peterson thinks he’ll have a better way to get there â€" aboard one of the largest and most expensive hovercrafts ever built.

“I want to drive the hovercraft up the St. Johns, park at the Landing and eat some buffalo wings at Hooters,” said Peterson. “It will look exactly like a UFO coming down the river, but that’s OK. This technology will work.”

I've been blogging hovercraft for months!  Finally!  Gosh, I can't wait.  Get on Board JTA.  F BRT go Hovercraft.

Kind of a funny article title since driving a car would also be commuting on a cushion of air.

True true, and if it's a Range Rover that would especially be true since it has an air suspension.  I would painfully know this all to well as once those suckers go out...got out your walet.

Isn't this the guy that's supposed to be building the hovercrafts that JTA has been talking about?

I think that is the guy.  Of course he'll be driving one up the river!

I think its a great idea though.
