Bitter-sweet move

I really had it against Shack over the last couple years but when I looked at the draft comparison between he & Del Rio vs. the Coughlin era they are really even.

I do think the relationship between Harris & Del Rio was strained after the Leftwich move at the beginning of last season and that hurt the continuity in that group.

JDR will now have final say in personnel moves with Gene Smith being an advisor... could go either way imo

It was reported yesterday that he would have been let go on next Monday.  I guess he figured why wait the extra week.

It was reported last offseason that Smith had taken over some of Harris' duties in the front office. Hopefully signing Drayton Florence and Jerry Porter were not a preview of things to come.
