Jax, be part of this nationwide protest to show our support for the rights of gays and civil rights. This is in response to the huge protests throughout California. This is a chance for not just gays, but straights as well to take a stand against this generations civil rights movement. Huge numbers of heteros have joined the protests out west, and now on Saturday the 15th at 130pm, we can do it people. It will be held at 330 E. Bay St in downtown. Cities through out all 50 states will be doing this at their city halls. The media will probably be all over this, and for the 12th largest city in the U.S., we better have a f*cking stellar showing.

Will this be peaceful protests or will it be going into churches and disrupting services? Will it include beating up old women, or gettign people fired from their jobs because they do not believe the same as you?

I am all for equal rights, would be more than willing to drag out the whole family plan to support this, but I can not support or condone some of the protesting that has been occurring.

reednavy

It'll be peaceful, of course police will be in the area in case some get out of hand I'm sure. Knowing here, it probably won't go that far.

No.  I would have voted for proposition 8 if I were in California.

THANK GOD! Yes I am a Homo that beleives in God! Just stay at home in your trailer and watch reruns of my BIG FAT REDNECK WEDDING. I wouldnt object so much to peoples opposition to these ridiculous laws if people were just honest about why they support them. BECAUSE THEY DONT LIKE GAYS! I cant wait for there to be laws and constitutional ammendments bannig D-I-V-O-R-C-E. That would never fly because people would be up in arms. After all, the number one cause of destruction of famalies and childrens lives is Divorce. But Heterosexuals are so selfish an egotistical they would never admit that.

Viva equality for all of God's children!  I hope one day people will realize homosexuals are everywhere even if straight people try to deny it!!!!

"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity"

-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

[And for my bible thumpers out there]

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets

-Matthew 7:12

Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

-Matthew 7:15-20

Good, we wouldn't want you there anyway.

Does your command know you plan on being there?

jeh1980

I thought that the people in California did the right thing when they banned gay marriage. I love gay people, but not their sexuality.

"Marriage is not a civil right."

From the majority opinion of the Supreme Court of the United States in Loving v. Virginia (the case that overturned state laws prohibiting interracial marriage.):

"The freedom to marry has long been recognized as one of the vital personal rights essential to the orderly pursuit of happiness by free men.... Marriage is one of the "basic civil rights of man," fundamental to our very existence and survival." Loving v. Virginia, 388 U.S. 1 (1967).

Well maybe I won't make it, since I must be selfish and egotistical. It is this kind of attack and the attacks recently in the news that make me believe I perhaps made a mistake.
