Ok, so... Im *that guy* who goes postal over poor spelling, misused words, or just poor editing in both online and print news articles.  Saw this one on Fox30 Online this morning, and just had to roll my eyes.

Overall it's a useful article, except when we get to the last paragraph:
Quote
(Jerry) Holland recommends coming out mid-morning or early afternoon if you still need to vote…He also says you should only vote at your registered prescient, but if you don’t know where that is---you can always absentee vote at the downtown Supervisor of Elections office on Monroe street.
As opposed to your precinct?   ;)

LOL!!! Then my posts must drive you nuts  :D :D :D :D
Haha.  No no.  While I am a stickler for punctuation, capitalization, and overall sentence structure and such, it's a little different in a public forum like this (these?).  What really gets me boiling is that its an online news source.  There should be like 4 levels of proofreading and edits and checks and the like.  It makes the source of the news look unprofessional.

Now, if people start posting in text-speak and l33t-speak and IM speak, I will simply lose it.  LoL

doc_k - you probably know this, but i am sure it is "the race to be 1st" that causes them to throw grammatical caution to the wind.  i agree - kind of funny/annoying though.

The urge was too immense to contain.  :)

The funny thing is that I had to do a bit of Googling to catch up on the IM lingo!  :)
