Interesting.  I never thought my Dolphins would have a better record then the Jags at any point this season.

motto for this year...

"hey, at least we aren't the Bengals!"

wait.  scratch that.  the Bengals beat us.

No the motto is well we've been in every game and were just one play away.

i'll say it...

time for a new coach.

I don't understand this penchant for firing coaches when a team hits a rough patch.

Last year we overachieved. As a result, the coach was rewarded with a contract extension. When the team struggles for 8 games, and even if we can't get it together the entire rest of the season, the answer isn't to get a new coach. If this happens again next year, and it's obvious something is wrong with the coaching, then yes, I might support your opinion (Even this would be considered a short leash by non-Al Davis standards).

But otherwise, definitely not time for a coaching change. Especially not in the middle of the season.

Del Rio may be a good coach, but this team is not well coached. They also have brought in players this yr and those players have not lived up to expectations. Of course injuries this yr, but that doesnt explain the poor effort from the defense. ie Mathis is looking in the back field while Chad Johnson is running down the field wide open. Our luck that the ball was over thrown. Thats just one example I saw today and many other games.

I know we all hate the Pats, we atleast I do, they went almost 5 qrts with zero pentalies, the Jags had 12 in this one game today. I said it before, that is a sign of a undisclpine team. The Jags have a bunch of over rated, over paid, pathetic players, besides MJD, Reggie Nelson, DG when he's not running for his life, maybe Taylor and MJ what other good players to de we have other than special teams maybe.

These last remaining games does anyone see a win in there, according to what the Jags have showed us thus far. The Jags know they are out of play off contention, so now its about a game check now or was that from game 1.

Anyone going to the Tnn game, tickets should be a steal we will be 3 and 6.
I'm going  :-X

Embarrasing loss. This is the losest point for the team since Del Rio has been here. It is inexcusable how unprepared the team looks. They lost to an 0-8 team with a  mediocre journeyman QB from Harvard and a running back who was out of the league last month. The Bengals had 6 sacks going into this game but had pressure on Garrard all game. It was pitiful. After watching the Jaguars and Lions play yesterday, I think the Lions will be favored.

How disappointing. I had high hopes for this season. What a bad weekend football....Seminoles lose to Ga Tech and the Jags lose to Cincy....at least the gators won.

It wasn't my opinion.  I agree with you completely.  I was just saying before those who start thinking that is the solution start saying it - watch - they're coming.

here is the trick...

to motivate the team under the currently demoralizing situation.

that will be extremely difficult now that they are out of playoff contention.  but Tenn did it a few years ago and came back to finish strong at 8-8 and heads were turning in their direction at the end of the season...they definitely got back a lot of respect.

whether our team can do it?  i'm not so sure.

The Jaguars were 4-7 in 1996, won the last 5 games and made it to AFC title game. It can happen. At that point in 1996, the Jaguars were a disaster. But I just don't see it with this team. They have a bad offensive line, no pass rush. It ain't gonna happen. I don't think Del Rio should be fired but changes need to be made.

Earlier I said that we were goin' 7-9 to 9-7; Now I think that we're gonna be in the 5-11 or 6-10 range; We're a BAD FOOTBALL TEAM!!!__We suck, simple as that! I'm NEVER gonna "jump ship" but we simply suck!__Hopefully, we can beat those winless Lions next week.__ :-\ ::) :-[

Definitely a disappointing game, but I'm still holding out for a win next week.  The talent is there but the spark isn't.  I wonder if there is some contention within the locker room.

I predict 10-6 for the season.

I like the optimism but I just don't see it. The o-line is awful except for Pashos and the defense can stop nobody.

10-6 would give us a very good chance at the playoffs. I don't see it at all.
