LOL. FinanceBuzz Came up with this. And I really don't disagree with them. THAT might change in a few years; but this is generally true at present. Tallahassee came up 9th most boring; so this all speaks ill for North Florida. Some of Florida's other major cities came in as the most liveliest cities in the U.S. So...that being said, check out the below link/article; enjoy.

Marketing writer tries to quantity fun by consulting the Yellow Pages.

Pure trash.

All the doomer natives grasp onto it, despite probably never even hearing of FinanceBuzz, to validate some goofy inferiority complex about the city that most of us transplants shook off 20 years ago.

If you're bored in Jax, you're the problem.

Buy a $100 foamie from Costco and learn to surf. Go to Keg & Coin. Check out RAM. Go to Pete's. Or Decca. Or Five Points. Or a Shrimp game.

The inherent stupidity of any list calling Tallahassee, a college town of barely 200,000, more boring than New York City, a city of 8.2 million, based on having fewer international tourists, professional sports teams, and $500 a plate Michelin starred restaurants should speak for itself.

the most ridiculous thing is the inverse, the list of the MOST EXCITING!!! cities in the us. This is laughable...

1. Atlanta, Georgia
2. Miami, Florida
3. St. Louis, Missouri
4. Orlando, Florida
5. New York City

How the heck would Atlanta and Orlando rank higher than NEW YORK CITY?!? And St Louis? HAHAHAHA. Articles like this are such a joke

Yeah, pure trash lol. However, its doing what they wanted it to do. Get views!

Most exciting in terms of traffic? That's how I interpreted those top 5 cities.

Can we merge the two "boring Jax" threads?

Reading both is boring.

LOLOLOL...don't get it twisted, I love me some Jax despite our idiocy and shortcomings most times. However LOL, I knew I'd get a rise (and good rises) out of you guys. Calm down; it's gonna be alright.

If you like the beach and playing golf, Jacksonville is great. From an urbanist point of view though, we have really struggled, not one person on this forum I think would disagree with that. A lot of negativity stems from the fact our Downtown sucks and unfortunately that often represents the wider perception of what people think of a place.

It also has to be taken in context. Its as silly comparing us to NYC as it is Tallahassee, neither of them are in our peer group.

Silver lining: When we finally do figure out that final piece, it's going to be off to the races.

Having Atlanta over NYC is silly. But Atlanta is a pretty fun place. I'm going up there tomorrow to see Dave Matthews in Alpharetta. And then watch the Braves and Phillies on Friday night. While I'm there, I'll go to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the Puppetry Museum. I'll also be going to Ponce Market and Buford Highway. Not to mention there are a lot of options for kayaking and hiking.

Here it is, and here it goes again; this time LISTWIRE; WHEN will they stop!?

Answer: THEY will stop when we (Jax) stop being boring (I don't think that we are), and start being lively.
