Well we've had multiple council members speak up against the U2C.. the Mayor's office is the last domino but that domino also seems to be standing strong. Without the Mayor's support, I can't see how JTA has the political backing to continue in it's current form.

I've been saying for a while that the lack of a real transit plan has been the biggest anchor to the DIA out of the factors "we" as a city control. Hard to fully build out a downtown with almost zero practical transit options. The Brooklyn station is such a low hanging fruit & for some reason JTA refuses to do it.

It sounds like neither of you will be waiting in line to make history by being to first paying transit customers to be ridden around DT in a driverless (don't mind dude in drivers seat holding the steering wheel) Ford camper van?

It would be really cool to have Mr. Tarbert meet with some of the leading lights of this august forum.

(Do we know anybody in City Hall that might facilitate such a thing?)

Yeah Charles, the conversation has been attempted before & let's just say it got shot down as soon as it was realized what was going on. Just saying, look who runs JaxUSA & also happens to be on the JTA board. The same JaxUSA that is bringing Holon & this speculative Otto plane company that doesn't even have a functional model yet & claims to have quite literally reinvented the way we design planes (laminar flow).

There are some very consistent themes if you know what I mean. We seem to attract some very, I mean very, speculative businesses.

They're already derping down Bay Street with their emergency flashers on, backing up traffic as they stop at bare-bones bus shelters to pick up and drop off no one.

The future is here.

J-D, I think you may have missed my point. I was suggesting that the new DIA Boss sit down with the leadership of The Jaxson (thelakelander and others) to talk things Downtown including the U2C.

It's a good idea. I'll arrange that once it's formal.

No I understood correctly. There are other people locally with very relevant input that have been shut down. It's fairly obvious the mayor's office is the last key supporter of the U2C. Both sides on council have publicly questioned the program.

Other things would be great! But the U2C is in a protected class.
