A 1914 map of Jacksonville's streetcar system. At the time, Jacksonville's streetcar system included 42.2 miles of streetcar lines, which served over 13.8 million riders in 1912. In 1936, the last streetcar lines connecting Northwest Jacksonville with downtown was closed in favor of a modern bus system.

Would be cool to overlay a modern Jax map to see how streets, tracks, etc. changed over 112 years.

The clock in the foreground looks like the one that was in front of Jacobs Jewelers.  Is it the same one?

And, those street cars look a lot better than what U2C is promising. "Back to the Future!"

It is for the most part. The clock in the photo got hit by a car and was basically destroyed. It was restored in 1974.
