You may think your miniature Christmas Village is a quaint tribute to the building traditions of yesteryear. However, its walkable, mixed-use, architecturally diverse layout is a flagrant violation of modern zoning laws and an affront to the single-family development ascendancy.

Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

This is awesome.  Great job Bill.  It's unfortunate, however, that I can think of many instances in our fair city where some of these issues have come up and the city has ruled against smart, dense, urban neighborhood development.

And this doesn't even consider the complaints about livestock in a residential zone, and then there's the unauthorized landing of aircraft.

;D ...even if the livestock are flying the aircraft over their own residential zone?

^ especially in that case

Although, getting Code Compliance to respond on a Holiday Weekend seems unlikely.

Agree, well done!  Even if it is written assuming that there are no vehicles and that all our good citizens and businesses act respectfully toward each other at all times (a true holiday miracle).  When all of this comes to pass, prepare for the end of the world :).

P.S.  I think you missed one opportunity... the "townhome" to the far right of the line is labeled a hotel.  Scandalous!  A bordello in the middle of housing (see the madam that did just that in a gated Deerwood home a few years ago  ;D )

Haha, good catch! I'll alert code compliance.

This Christmas village is missing an elevated expressway right through the middle of the town and parking garages.
