Captions with locations would be nice ...

Does this project include the Lee Street Viaduct conversion (as shown in the first graphic)?

thelakelander

Yes, it includes the Lee Street Viaduct, although construction has not started there yet.

Excluding one block of Church Street, east of Johnson Street, all construction to date is west of I-95.

So the Emerald Trail is really just a sidewalk?  I was picturing a long park connecting everything together, not just a sidewalk.  I hope they do a bunch of work on the landscaping around it.

Yep, it's way more than the sidewalk - the landscaping, etc. is definitely happening, just not done yet in the construction cycle.

I would imagine some areas will be grander than others.

Who is going to maintain these trails after they are completed?  Who is providing maintenance on the S trail and is it being kept up sufficiently?

Anyone know if a decision has been made on whether the Emerald Trail/Model Mile will be lit?

$500k/mile was the estimate for lighting it, but I know lighting wasn't included in the original cost estimates.

Jason

Yes, at least portions of it will be lit.  I haven't seen the entire plan set but there is definitely lighting included.
