Can someone provide some insight?  I know the governor signed a agreement with the Seminole tribe but is this petition pro gambling or just anti " outside groups ".

Pro gambling person here but not sure I understand the issues or the forces at work...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

^ The Seminoles and DeSantis are trying to preserve their exclusive online sports and other gambling arrangements.  The dog tracks/poker rooms and out of state casinos want in on the action and are fighting it on multiple levels.

The sports betting piece went to Federal court and the judge ruled against the State and the Seminoles, gutting the agreement they had for that piece.  So, this past week or so, the Seminoles had to shut down that operation.

I believe the petition you refer to may relate to getting a constitutional amendment on the ballot to undermine the Seminole's exclusive gambling rights by letting a select number of other casino operators do business in the State. Hence, all the ads the Seminoles are running bad mouthing "out of staters."

If someone knows more, chime in :).

Ok... that is pretty much how I understood it also...

I don't know all the details, but I'm game with having other entities being able to invest in Florida and NE Florida specifically.

Agree in general. If Florida is going to have legal gambling (and we do) then I currently see no reason to limit locations or operating right's to the Seminole tribe...
