Related...what percentage of downtown core investment is directly or indirectly related to the VyStar HQ move?

What a novel idea!  Tacos!  I was just thinking about how there aren't enough taco places in town.

This is a pretty simplistic view considering the article doesn't mention tacos once (excluding the title, but the JDR always has terrible titles. case in point, any article where KBM has to obsessively use the company's slogan as part of their name).  Mexico has a pretty vast array of food items.  The cheapest and easiest to make is what has taken over america (shocking), but there is a lot that goes into the various regional dishes that we don't usually see.  Considering this place is focusing on Baja, I would imagine a lot of seafood (hopefully including octopus) and maybe some surf and turf burritos.

If construction actually starts on the Trio, getting the Wells Fargo Building along Laura to engage with the street with restaurant/bar/retail will be key due to all of the investment across the street. Before you know it, there might actually be a node of activity along Laura as people have dreamed of for decades.

^Yes addressing the ground floor of that building and the BOA Tower could go a long way in quickly creating three or four blocks of continuous activity in the heart of the Northbank. Get that working and the overall imagine of DT will improve greatly.

It would be cool if the rooftop grill that used to be at the top of BOA building was expanded into something more flexible than a lunch option. It could be a good competitor to the member only option in the Wells Fargo building. They could charge a premium for special nights like fireworks, airshows, etc.

It would be a cool spot for a little tourist attraction to see the whole city, even all the way out to the beach on a clear day. Could be done affordably.
