Everyone should be gearing up for a downtown pub crawl.

Hells yes!!! This will fill up that block of Bay, aside from the old Guarantee Saving and trust Building.

There's also a cigar bar, called "Poppy Loves Smoke" going in the same building as the London Bridge on Adams Street.  I spoke with the owner yesterday at 15 West.  He's hoping to open the bar in the next six months or so.

Sounds like we might have a nice little concentration of businesses in that area.  This is good news.  Let's hope the pizza place puts up some attractive signage that will draw the attention of folks driving along Bay and Ocean streets.

Any idea what's going on with Ocean's 11?

Hopefully all of these establishments will be open by the end of October/begining of September so that they can capitalize on all of the college game(s) traffic. I know that Phase II will be ready. They open on October 26th, just in time for the college season descent on Jacksonville. That would be a great way of getting word-of-mouth advertising from all the travelers. Damn, reflecting on what the crowds down Bay would look like makes me want rail from the Sports District to Downtown soo much more.

TheLakelander, does the owner of that cigar bar have an architect that he's using for the design yet?  Think you might want to throw his name my way?

Are all of these looking like late September openings? And I've never heard of Ocean's 11... Anyone heard anything about it?

does anyone know what type of hours nicky g's will have?  i'm wondering if it's going to stay open later and be sort of bar & grill-like, but with pizza. perhaps bar & pizza-place.

They plan to stay open pretty late.  I believe as late as 4am on the weekends to cater to those leaving the bars in the immediate area.

damn....well, sort of.  i've been thinking of opening something down that way and catering to that crowd.  if someone else beats me to it, good for them.  i'll probably support it when i'm around there at closing time.
