Something about the big sign on top feels weird to me, but honestly it's fine. The lighting is cool.

Sign on the roof literally seems like it is "over the top."  ;)

Takes away from a beautiful building and isn't necessary as the banner and awning signs are more than adequate.  Don't see an add from that oversized sign.  This isn't a skyscraper and it is only visible from across the street on one side of the building so how many people are going to even see it.  Overkill.

These days, I'm all for any signage downtown that screams, "THIS IS AN OCCUPIED BUILDING!"

It's FLABBERGASTING that we can approve a $20+ million demolition of the Landing, but we can't find a way to get around the sign ordinance for that decrepit billboard on top of Magnificat that I look at every day when I walk into the office. How hard is it to throw a mural, or a Jax sign, or a Jags logo or whatever up there?

I love the billboard on top of Magnificat. Its a old piece of DT from the days when DT was a vibrant place to be. I wish they'd but something on it. In this case however, the rooftop sign looks tacky. But I get it. There's no Landing blocking their view from the river and the Wells Fargo Center is setback a bit from the street. You'll be able to see that rooftop sign from the Acosta Bridge and the Southbank.

I'm fine with this personally. Yea it's slightly tacky, but hey whatever.

I didn't even pick up on the sightline to the Southbank. I-95 may be able to see that sign.

I do wonder if they're going to clean up the exterior of the building itself. It's in need of a good cleaning/weeding.

I love it, I like it. Nothing wrong with a rooftop sign and IMO it does not take away from the old authenticity of the building. Kind of brings to mind how Jax was in the 60's and before; a lot of buildings and skyscrapers back then had roof top and/or facade signage around buildings downtown and they were illuminated. BTW, Jax is probably the only big city in Florida nowadays that is more dark and dreary downtown because of no signage and/or illumination of its downtown buildings, skyscrapers and other landmarks and structures. I hope this fever spreads and other buildings downtown take note, and downtown becomes much brighter at night.
