Janet Owens, longtime CEO of Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC), Jacksonville, passed away yesterday.  In her role as LISC CEO, she played a vital role in energizing much of the urban core, including Downtown, Eastside, Northside, Springfield and the Rail Yard District, all while always acting with grace and unbridled passion for making Jacksonville a better place for all.  Jacksonville will miss her.

See the below articles for more.  Sadly, Ms. Owens joins with the recent losses of Bob Schircliff, Jake Godbold and W.W. Gay in diminishing the brightest leaders and supporters of our City.
