When an individual building is demolished, it can be hard in the short term to see the dramatic impact the pattern can have over a substained period of time. Yet, the end result is several blocks of lost life, history, culture, sense of place, vitality and economic activity.

I always admired some of those buildings that had been destroyed and it just never occurred to me that FBC was a common thread in their demolition.  Eye-opening.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!
