Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Just dropping some quick props to Stephanie Brown at WOKV (report referenced in the article), who has consistently delivered the best reporting on downtown and capital spending in the city over the years from a traditional media perspective.

Sad to learn that she's moving on from reporting this week and taking a job with a nonproft organization, but happy for her as well.

Stephanie Brown and Dave Cawton (also gone from reporting, I know, you guys love him) have been my go-to reporters for live updates from DIA, DDRB, and big City Council/JEA meetings for years.

Not sure if there's anyone else doing that same type of live coverage.

Well, there goes the neighborhood (downtown) thanks to lenny, who doesn't know how to manage or spend a penny.

I, for one, am looking forward to Lenny Lawn!  I can't wait to stroll through the park with my kids with a view of the river and a bum pissing on the lawn. It will be so much fun to sit on the grass and have a conversation with my family while being verbally accosted by one of hundreds of bums for denying them a handout.  What joy is in store for all of us when Lenny's Lawn opens up!

Look on the bright side. When you get hungry, you can get into your car and drive over to the new T.G.I. Friday's at Lot J.

^First plate of mozzarella sticks is on the house!*

*If "on the house" means that $387 in cash from every adult resident of Duval County set aside for Lot J ($209 million in cash / 539,278 residents over the age of 18) actually goes toward mozzarella sticks.

Word of warning, the pizzadillas will cost extra.

I would like to get some Demo Lenny bumper stickers to pass around.

Will there be hot dog carts?

That isn't the key question. The key question is do they actually go up with the bridge as it rises or do they stay on the fixed part?

Seriously, I'll have to listen to the recording. Stupid 9AM meeting I have to listen in on.
