I have combed the internet for aerial panoramic photos of downtown Jacksonville and there are some cool ones out there. However, my favorite is attached to this thread/posting. If you all have any that are better or that beat mine, let me know. Remember, I don't call myself heights unknown for nothing!

Heights Unknown:

Good topic. I have spent hours at my computer looking at aerial shots of cities from around the world. Being an architecture major , I have a specific interest in high rise construction. I have, however been disappointed when I compare Jax's skyline to other major cities' skylines. The small number of high rises, and lack of density, leaves something to be desired in our skyline. However, I think the St. Johns River adds an unrivaled aesthetic quality to our downtown from the air as it winds though downtown revealing multiple opportunities for more waterfront development.  I can't help but wonder how our skyline would have looked if all the high rises proposed in the early 2000's would have actually been built. Let's hope that our future in high rises is better than our past, and then maybe one day we'll have a skyline to be proud of when the networks show those aerial shots of downtown during Jaguars and college football games at the stadium./ Howfam
