In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, here's five places King spent time in during his visits to Jacksonville.

Thanks! I'm becoming more aware that as a community, we really don't know much about our history. Thus, we're quick to assume we have no significant history in related to nationally known historic events. In regards to King, we hear a lot about him in St. Augustine due to things being covered by national media. However, there is no march in St. Augustine without Jacksonville. We had the airport he flew into and the large black population base and resources to assist in the planning efforts.
