Are iPhones (and other Apple products) overrated?

Yes

Just the phones
Just the computers/software

Just like the title says. Are iPhones overrated? Apple products in general maybe? So I have an opportunity to maybe upgrade my mediocre Android phone to an iPhone and I'm not convinced that it's a great idea or an awful one. Please share your experiences & expertise!
Thanks in advance for reading and for your honest input!

I don't really see what this has to do with Jacksonville.
So, to the young people fighting in this movement for change, here is my charge: march in the streets, protest, run for school committee or city council or the state legislature. And win. - Ed Markey

I guess I posted it in the wrong subsection? Apple corporation is a business isn't it? Are they not considering setting up a shop here in Jax of some kind? Break room seemed too generic, and nondescript, (I run nothing lol)and introductions or subsections of the parts of the city seemed wrong too..politics seemed off, news seemed popmpous, because I want honest opinions and experiences, not any kind of personal objectification or glorifications..sorry dude

I don't think they're overrated - but I do think they're overpriced.

I prefer OS X/macOS to Windows. I think the build quality of the Apple devices I've owned is/was unassailable. But the products seem to be getting more and more expensive - and with fewer real improvements.

While I don't think iPhones are overrated, it often seems like other manufacturers come out with new features before Apple and at a lower price point.

For what?  Is there something that you cannot do currently that can only be delivered by switching platforms?  If so, then it MIGHT make sense for you.  However, if you are comfy in the Android world already and you are switching just for the heck of it, it is going to be a real culture shift (maybe shock) to you to go to iOS.  The freedom you have with an Android device is immense, compared to what you will discover with iOS.  Also, a big learning curve.

I am guessing if you are unhappy with your "mediocre" phone, you might be a lot happier looking at an upper-level Android phone first.  It all depends on what your real needs are.
