Bad timing with Trader Joe's coming in a few weeks ago.

That whole area has far too many grocery stores.

Why? Too many grocery stores? They have different USPs, so I doubt it will be an issue (unless the market is oversaturated).

Lots of them. There's a Trader Joe's, Walmart, Publix, Whole Foods, and now an Aldi is opening up.

Somebody should think about putting a grocery store in San Marco.

JB Tripper, you left out the sarcasm font my friend......................

FYI there are several hundred comments somewhere on MJ that discuss the 10 year failed attempt to put a Publix in at the horrible, awful good for nothing corner of Atlantic and Hendricks adjacent to San Marco Square.........................

Yep that large vacant lot.

I'm well versed. It's an embarrassment of riches in the grocery department just a few miles south, and we can't get a deal done up here. Frustrating.

I was even hopeful for a grocery store as part of the new development on the Florida Baptist site, but it looks like that's not happening. Instead that developer appears to be attempting to lease the existing space.
