Let's just say that I may or may not have loudly proclaimed some pretty wild shit in a meeting (or more) because I glossed over a spreadsheet and totally missed something. 

It's astonishing how quickly I can transform from to in the blink of an eye.

Best decision I have made in the past 3 years: quitting fantasy football.  Shit is sooooooooo 2010. 

You either have done a real good job minimizing issues in your life if quitting fantasy football is your best decision in three years OR all your other decisions have been really bad to have quitting fantasy football rank that high up there.

Everyone is now signed up, divisions are set, and the schedule is final.

Here is where we stand on keepers. All keepers will be due 2 days prior to the draft, what ever day that ends up being.



I haven't heard from anyone regarding the draft. At this point I am thinking the evening of Aug 31st to provide some entertainment during the last preseason games or Tuesday September 5th. I would also consider Saturday the 2nd at 8PM to give TUFSU something to do other than cry through the FSU game.

We have kept the same scoring settings for several years. I am throwing out some possible changes. Let me know if anyone has an issue with these changes

Remove -1 for missed PAT since those are not a given anymore

We have return yards turned on for offensive players. I propose removing this entirely, or turning it on for the DFS/SPT. Default for Yahoo is to not score return yards for either.

Defensive yards allowed is scoring 5 points when a defense holds a team to 0-99 yards. With the high power offenses today I think we should change this to 10 and do 5 points for 100-199 and 2 points for 200-299, 0 points for 300-399, -2 points for 400-499 and -5 for 500+

Both me and Tufsu1 will be at a conference in Daytona the week of the 5th. I'm pretty sure, I'll spend Labor Day weekend visiting my parents in Central Florida as well. I could do 8/31 in person though.

Totally cool with the proposed Missed PAT change and Defensive yardage. Splitting hairs, but I'd be cool with 3 for 200-299 as that's a feat in today's NFL

Personally, I'd turn Return yards on for all players. I think the defense should get additional credit if they have, say, an 80 yard interception return but don't get the touchdown. Even if they do get the TD, I think they should get more credit for a long return then say someone catching a Blake Bortles pick six where the DB just has to step in the end zone.

Sadly (or thankfully) tix weren't available at our booster level - and I'm not paying $500 - so I'll be watching on TV - that way I can cry in my own house if need be
