Road / Bridge construction at JTB and 295?

My wife and I have been in town for the past four days, trying to finalize our living arrangements for our move to Jax in October and have stayed in the 295 / Baymeadows area.  I understand that 295 is adding a lane (toll-only express lane, if I remember correctly) but why are they adding new bridges to the interchange at JTB?  That is a complete flyover interchange already, so I can't figure out what they need to be changing about that.  Anyone?

Thank you.  I knew someone would have the quick answer.  Wow, that's a lot of work being done, although it really wasn't bad getting through it these past four days.

This is the first year in decades that I'm looking forward to that.  After 30+ years in the classroom, I just retired in June!
