In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Lol Ennis you waited one year to make that post. Looks like you'll finally get your revenge.  ;D

He finished +7 in a game his team lost by five. That's nuts.

The ending last night was so deflating; I don't know that I have it in me to watch game 4.

It was well worth the wait to witness what and how it took place in the final two minutes last night.  A full game of eating candy for Cleveland, only to get served a poop burger at the end of the night.

LOL, prime Bosh and Wade were better!  It was LeBron who cost them the 2011 finals. Being a Heat fan, I'm fine watching Lebron and Cleveland fans go down in flames, although I totally agree with your position on KD.

Durant wasn't going to win anything in OKC because no one on that team was good outside of himself and Westbrook.

But yes, I guess it's a "bitch" thing to do to go to a better job when the opportunity arises.

Fair point! It is a job and who would not leave one place of employment for a better opportunity to grow professionally elsewhere....while also getting paid more money?

The way the salary cap works, he could have made more money staying in OKC.

Not when endorsements from playing in a large market and winning a Finals MVP kick in.

Definitely to the latter, debatable to the former. Durant was already marketable before heading West.

According to Forbes, Durant makes $34 million in endorsements. Money isn't a problem for him.

Right, which is why he was willing to go to GSW and earn less base salary; he's not hurting for cash, and his ultimate goal was to win a championship.

Of course, you could argue the salary cap works against the tenants of a free market and Durant deserves to be paid his worth as a player  (one of the very best in the league), but that's another conversation. The way the NBA salary cap works, he has to take a pay cut in order to play on the best team in the league.

But if you can make millions, increase your endorsement earnings setting your family up for life and win a few championships in the process, why stay in dusty OKC?
